Collection managementAs part of the Museum’s regular work, the mission of the Collection Management is treating, studying, documenting and sorting pieces or collections that, by load, deposit, donation or even acquisition, enter the Museum and are exhibited or in reserve. It is also this service job the technical follow up of permanent and temporary exhibitions and the preventive preservation of collections.
Aiming at fostering the museum work and preservation, this service similarly foresees the study of collections owned by associates, as a strong investment of investigation.
Articulating the public vocation of the Museum with the means through which we shape it, it is crucial to us in order to provide our visitants a true positive and effective experience. In addition to what the museum presents, its actual presentation should not be overseen. Proficiency and technical competence are essential to the statement of the Museum’s technical work quality, since it is the technical work quality that allows assuring a public qualified work – positive and relevant.
